  • I HAVE A FEVER            100 degrees or higher       Return to School once you are fever free without fever reducing medication for 24 hours (i.e. Advil or Tylenol)                                             

  • I AM VOMITING              One or more events of vomiting within the last 24 hours    Return to School once you are free from vomiting for 24 hours and eating and drinking normally            

  • I HAVE DIARRHEA           One or more events of watery diarrhea in the last 24 hours      Return to School once you are free from diarrhea for 24 hours and feeling well                    

  • I HAVE HEAD LICE           Live lice present    Return to School once you treated the hair with lice shampoo at home, and you must check in with nurse when you come back to school 

  • I HAVE AN EYE INFECTION   Redness, itching and crusty drainage from eyes   Return to School once you are free from drainage and/or have been evaluated by your healthcare provider if needed 

  • I HAVE A SORE THROAT     Sore throat with fever or severe sore throat without fever  If diagnosed with strep throat or another bacterial infection, the student may return to school after 24 hours on antibiotic, fever free for 24 hours, and feeling well 

  • I HAVE A COUGH             If cough is worse than you would expect with a cold or if student has trouble breathing, has a cough with fever, has a history of asthma, contact their primary care provider.  Please follow Covid-19 protocols and perform a test.

  • As health care professionals, we encourage you to be proactive in advising students, families, and staff to:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick and stay home if you or someone in your household falls ill. 

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth - this is how germs spread.

  • Cover your coughs and sneeze with a tissue and throw it immediately in the trash

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects using spray or wipes.

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol (Source: CDC).
