Medications

All prescription medications administered at school require a doctor's order. If it is a long term perscription (> 10days), the nurse will need a doctor's order as well as written parental consent to administer the medication.

Over the counter medications listed on the emergency forms can be administered by the school nurse as needed with written parental permission at the beginning of each school year.

Students may not carry medication on their person or bring them to the nurse with the exception of Inhalers, Enzymes, Insulin, and Epi-pens. All other medications must be brought in by a parent or legal guardian.

All medications must be in the original labeled container.

A parent or legal guardian must pick up the medication at the end of the school year
