The Tisbury School Wellness Committee is dedicated to promoting health in our students and staff through nutritional and physical programs and practices and to teach students the importance of protecting the environment.

Wellness Meeting Minutes 03-02-20

The Tisbury Wellness Committee meets at least 4 times per year after school.  Please contact Catherine Coogan (508) 696- 6522 or ccoogan@mvyps.org if you are interested in joining the committee.

  • After school programs such asRunning Club, Walking Club, Mindful Movement

  • Collaborate with our cafeteria to provide healthy foods during the school day

  • Created a Recycling and Composting Program with Island Grown Schools.

  • Created a goal to get rid of all plastic in the cafeteria

  • Work to utilize local sources of foods

  • Fruit bar available all day long in the cafeteria
