If a student is identified as having a case of untreated Pediculosis (nits or live lice), he or she will be dismissed to the parents or guardians for treatment.

The student is to be checked by the nurse in the morning when the student returns to school.  It is best to be accompanied by an adult so that the nurse can educate, answer questions and provide material as needed for the family.

Siblings and close contacts in school can be assessed as well.
